ST PAUL'S CATHEDRAL, London. Aerial view. In this photograph of October 1947 the Cathedral still survives, but the widespread devastation caused by bombing during the Second World War is apparent in nearby streets. Some whole blocks have been destroyed and the remains of the bombed-out buildings can be seen. Aerofilms Collection (see Links).
